Unreal Engine Visualization and Modeling - PATH TRACING
The primary goal of this project was to enhance my hard surface modeling skills by accurately replicating geometry using only reference images. One of the main challenges I encountered was applying the intricate graphics to the meshes. Upon closer inspection, some graphics appeared to sit atop the clear coat of the paint, while others were embedded beneath it.
To achieve this layered material effect, I utilized Substrate materials. By modifying the master materials to fit the specific requirements of the project, I was able to produce a result I was very satisfied with.
For the final presentation, I aimed for a minimalist studio environment, but with subtle, interesting background details. This was achieved through the use of VDB Volumes for added depth and atmosphere.
